Meet the Team

SAFE Community Homes is a membership organisation with a strong network of community-supporters.

SAFE Community Homes is led by a voluntary Board of Directors who are drawn from the membership and have relevant skills and experience such as strong understanding of the local community, housing, financial, legal, communications and non-profit management. Directors receive no payment or dividend. The main board meets monthly and all meetings are formally minuted.

There are 3 forms of Member on the Board:

2 nominees from Safe Regeneration Ltd
2 nominees from local residents, tenancies and leaseholders (independent skilled members)
8 locally based independent member experts, with skills linked to the corporate and business plans

Additionally, up to two Co-opted Unpaid Advisors may serve up to 1-2 years as a Committee Member to support the Board with a skill to support the delivery of its business or corporate objectives.

Smaller sub-committees explore specific areas in greater depth as and when required, and report back to the main board. Sub-committees include Development, Membership, Tenant Voice, Tenant Scrutiny Panel, and Audit & Risk.
